The Chesapeake Bay Retriever was developed during the nineteenth century along the Chesapeake Bay to retrieve water birds in harsh weather and challenging water conditions. The features supporting his work are valued in the conformation ring as well, so there is not a big difference between field and show dogs.
Once upon a time, very long ago, my husband, Marvin, and I purchased a precious, female, tricolor Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy. Sophie came into our lives after the loss of our beloved fourteen-and-a-half year-old All-American dog, Pokey.
