The fancy was devastated this past week while dealing with the loss of several prominent friends. Many are grieving the loss of Norm Patton who suffered a massive stroke while at dinner with friends after a day of judging. Ceil Ruggles also suddenly passed away suddenly. Dr. Ruth Barstow passed away while travelling to the Cairn National from California, and finally Joel Rosenblatt, who has been ill for quite some time, succumbed to his illness. Our thoughts go out to all family and friends of these beloved individuals. They will be missed by all who knew them.

Please keep Norm Patton in your thoughts and prayers. He has suffered a massive stroke and is in critical care. Those wishing to send cards to Norm can send them to him at 100 W. California Blvd., Pasadena, CA 91105.

I was saddened to hear about Bernie Schwartz’ stroke. Bernie is back home now with 24-hour care. Please send Bernie and Fran a card if you get the chance. I know each of them could use the positive thoughts. Cards can be sent to: Bernie & Fran Schwartz, 24500 N. Elm Road, Lake Forest, IL 60045.
