These past three years have certainly proved to be eye-opening for a whole host of reasons that stretch far beyond Covid.

Many of us have, of course, long-suspected that authorities, trusted figures and organizations would lie or exaggerate to get the result they required; however, in recent revelations made by the Daily Telegraph–contained within their “Covid Files”–we learned in shocking detail exactly how they manipulated the truth to keep the population in a constant state of fear.

Here in the UK, people witnessed just how quickly (and even more disturbingly) just how easily our human rights could suddenly be withdrawn. How the simple pleasures in life, things that had for generations been completely taken for granted, such as going for a stroll or sitting on a park bench, could, almost overnight, be withdrawn and suddenly become illegal.

Even worse was watching the change in ordinary people’s behavior (their fear whipped up by a shamelessly compliant press) as they gleefully acted as cheerleaders and arbiters of these completely ridiculous and quite often nonsensical rules–snitching on their neighbors and former friends.

But what, you may ask, has any of the above got to do with our relatively sane and ordered world of pedigree dogs?
