222 – The Annual, 2025-26
An American Kennel Club (AKC) affiliate, the Nashville Kennel Club (NKC) operates at the heart of the purebred dog community. Its AKC recognition places it squarely within the official structure of the dog fancy. In addition to conformation events, the Club supports sports like Fast Cat and Coursing Ability Tests for all breeds, and Lure Coursing for Sighthounds. Through community events, networking, and cooperative training activities, NKC promotes breed standards, responsible breeding, and canine health. Active in government legislative and advocacy initiatives, NKC supports dog-owner rights and welfare, aligning with the fancy’s broader mission to protect and celebrate purebred dogs.
In addition to hosting dog shows, the NKC is active in the Nashville Community.
The NKC is proud of our community in middle Tennessee. Over the past three years, the Club has supported many dog/pet activities by donating almost $30,000 to charities including:
