“Oh my gosh! I have Danish-Swedish Farmdogs in two weeks! I’ve never even SEEN one, much less had my hands on one and now I have to judge them!” OK, I may be being a little dramatic, but then again…
The 202nd breed in the AKC to be fully recognized is the only table dog in the working group. You may have taken the open book written test from the Danish-Swedish Farmdog (DSF) standard that the AKC has developed, but you likely have not had your hands on one. There are around 400 in the USA and far fewer than that are showing in conformation. You’ll find pockets of them in areas where there are breeders, but right now there are only about seven breeders who are breeding with any regularity in this country.
