Georgia: Resolution that Recognizes May 1 as Purebred Dog Day Passes!
On Wednesday, January 24, 2024, the Georgia Senate adopted Senate Resolution 344, which commends the benefits and contributions of purebred dogs and recognizes May 1, 2024 as Purebred Dog Day in the State of Georgia. Gail LaBerge, President of the Georgia Canine Coalition, worked tirelessly throughout Georgia’s 2023-2024 legislative session to advance this resolution. It was adopted by vote of 48 to 1 in favor.
Georgia purebred dog owners are encouraged to send messages of thanks to their Senators, and particularly to the 48 Senators who voted to adopt the resolution.
