From The CC Vault: My Thought Stream Is Polluted…

F My Thought Stream

The Oxford English Dictionary defines “stream of thought” as a literary style in which a character’s thoughts, feelings and reactions are depicted in a continuous flow uninterrupted by objective description or conventional dialogue. This is what happens to your brain after several hours of sitting in a duck or goose blind. Actually, it starts before you even crawl into that blind, or at least it does for me mainly because my competence level at 0400 hours is somewhere south of complete ineptitude. And, if I should happen to mutter any of those uninterrupted continuous flow thoughts aloud, even the dog looks at me like I’m more than a full bubble off plumb.

Table Talk · July 26, 2023

SMOnlineTableTalk33-342x358-1

I would like to share words of wisdom from Pat Trotter about her views on an ethical breeder: “The ethical breeder is a purist who does not expect his animals to earn their keep through stud fees and puppy sales. The ethical breeder lives for his dogs and not off his dogs. This breeder breeds for the enjoyment of the end product and the sense of accomplishment achieved by success. This success can come in the form of looking out the window in sheer pleasure as one of your dogs trots across the yard effortlessly, or it can come with accolades in the show ring.
Breeders must be constantly dedicated and rededicated to the fact that the most important thing a dog can be is man’s best friend.”
