Suomen-pystykorva–the national dog of Finland, also called Finsk Spets–translates as Finnish prick-eared dog. In AKC, it is called the Finnish Spitz. Developed in Finland from Spitz-type dogs for thousands of years, it was used to hunt all types of game. His skill at barking and pointing game in trees led to his specialization in hunting birds.

From large multi-national corporations to local small businesses, employers are experiencing a crisis in hiring. The cause, baby boomers are retiring in large numbers and an ever-shrinking labor force both serve to create a growing number of unfilled jobs. Although many jobs are available in the technology sector, the problem extends well into manufacturing, construction, healthcare, finance and hospitality. In a recent survey conducted by U.S. Bank, 61 percent of the business respondents reported problems finding and hiring employees. Employers across the board also expressed a widening gap between the skills they seek and those possessed by potential employees.
