International Kennel Club Of Chicago Announces Judges And Specialties
The International Kennel Club of Chicago (IKC) has released the roster of judges for its January event. The esteemed panel consists of Gene Blake, Douglas Broadfoot, Marissa Clark, Vicki Seiler Cushman, Jerry Klein, Roz Kramer, Betsy Love, Neil McDevitt, Peggy Beisel-McIlwaine, Debbie Melgreen, Kim Meredith, Ron Pock, Patty Proctor, Jay Richardson and Denise Ross. Additional judges may be added as more specialties join the weekend.
Nearly 40 specialties and supported entries representing 14 breeds and seven National parent clubs, as well as a Hound group show, have already announced plans to be part of the IKC weekend, with the list growing daily. These breeds include English Springer Spaniel, Golden Retriever, Weimaraner, American Foxhound, Azawakh, Beagle, Harrier, Saluki, Sloughi, Whippet, Great Dane, Kuvasz, Chow Chow, Pomeranian, Keeshond, Belgian Malinois and Bouvier Des Flandres.
“We’re excited to be able to offer a high level of support for these clubs, and grateful that so many have already contacted us about holding their specialties—even National Specialties—and supported entries with us,” says IKC Specialty Coordinator James Donahue. “And—we’re still working with some clubs, so this list isn’t yet complete.”
The IKC winter show is part of The Windy City Cluster, held January 6-8, 2023, in Schaumburg, Illinois, just outside of Chicago. Hotel information can be found online at Hotels & Restaurants – The Windy City Cluster.
