Some dreams take a lifetime to fulfill. To step into the ring at the 150th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show–not as an exhibitor, not as a spectator, but as a judge was the realization of a promise spoken to me many years ago. Westminster is more than a dog show; it is a living symbol of tradition, excellence, and continuity in the world of purebred dogs. To be invited to serve on its judging panel is one of the highest honors in our sport. To do so during its historic 150th anni-versary elevates that honor to something truly extraordinary. I accepted the assignment with profound gratitude and deep respect for the legacy of this institution and for the generations of breeders, exhibitors, and judges who have shaped its history.
After time to reflect, I can say without hesitation that judging at Westminster is truly a dream realized. I began in this sport at the age of four, alongside my father, to whom I owe so much of my foundation and knowledge. After 32 years of judging around the world, I fulfilled something he often told me: “One day, you will judge at Westminster.” Dad, I did it. And in that historic ring, a promise made decades ago quietly came full circle.
