What is your background in the sport?

I am a second-generation dog man. I began showing in Junior Showmanship with German Shepherds, Great Danes, and Lhasa Apsos. I bred Great Danes under the Jamara prefix, and I am now a judge of four groups and have judged in 42 different countries. I am the sitting President of the Great Dane Club of America. I am also on the Board of Directors of the Pekingese Club of America and a member of The American Whippet Club, Santa Barbara Kennel Club, Morris and Essex Kennel Club, as well as Chain O’Lakes Kennel Club, for which I am the AKC Delegate. I am also a member of the AKC Dog Show Rules Committee.
