At a press conference in 1986, President Ronald Reagan famously said, “The nine most terrifying words in the English language are, I’m from the government and I’m here to help.”

I think the intervening decades have certainly proved the wisdom of that statement, and even more terrifying in lots of respects are the actions of ‘local government’.

The following tale I’m about to recount happened recently in the midlands of Tasmania but, of course, similar scenarios are playing out across America, Canada, and the UK all the time.

Hopefully, it will provide a salutary lesson on the urgent need to stand up and be counted, and to actively fight back against unfair local government and council over-reach.

Now, before I go into what occurred, I will just give you some background information on the current dog laws down here in Tasmania. As you will see, compared to most of America, they are already bordering on draconian.
