I’ve known quite a few Tibetan Terriers over the years and they have all, without exception, been completely charming little people.
The most memorable one was a gorgeous gold and white dog called, rather ignominiously, Peter.
The name certainly didn’t reflect his proud heritage or his long, illustrious pedigree filled with champions bearing the famous UK Tibetan Terrier kennel name, Araki.
He was owned by a posh girlfriend of mine, Debra, who I got to know whilst studying at art school.
We spent one, very memorable, misty water-colored summer, sketching and painting several large houses and abandoned mansions on the outskirts of London and Hertfordshire back in the early 1990s–always accompanied by Peter!
