YOSEMITE KENNEL CLUB & CONTRA COSTA COUNTRY KENNEL CLUB
Step back into the days of hippies, peace, love, and music. To all that add a dog show, too. The result is a joyous celebration, WOOFSTOCK. Held in the Northern California region of Napa Valley, this once-a-year mega-event belongs on everyone’s dog show bucket list to do at least once. For five glorious days in the abundant California sunshine, dogs rule. Specialties and four days of all breed shows fill the rings. National specialties are a highlight, too. Amazing vendors that are arranged on an avenue bring the most colorful dog toys, beds, equipment, treats, and clothing that’s too hard to resist. A big favorite was the club tent filled with 2022 commemorative tees and sweatshirts. Snacks were set out for exhibitors at various times each day. An astounding array of memorabilia from those hippie days filled a display arranged on multiple tables, hanging from the rafters, and decorating the walls in an effort to remind us all of the lava lamps and peace signs, and that unique time.
