Next week the fancy will begin to make the annual pilgrimage to New York City for Westminster, which now has become Westminster week

One of the body building coaches that I follow wrote us all an inspirational note at the beginning of the year. I thought it applies to our sport as well. Every January, we see what we call “Temporaries” at the gym. These are the people that have made a New Year’s resolution to get in [...]

Best wishes to Pat Jones, her daughter Chris, and family. Pat is fighting the good fight against cancer and this lovely lady deserves all of our best wishes. Pat always has a smile on her face, and I always enjoy seeing her Facebook posts (vbg!).

Happy New Year my friends!!!! As we start the New Year, some will continue on with dogs they showed last year, and others will begin the year launching a new dog’s show career. When all is said and done, the dogs that we choose to exhibit as our best don’t have a choice. They do [...]

The four-day cluster in Novi, Michigan was held this past weekend. The Club and Show Committee has done a phenomenal job with this circuit. They have great PR which not only draws people to the event, but activities at the cluster to keep non-exhibitors interested in coming back! Since the new venue was built, this [...]

Sincere congratulations to Team Preston for an outstanding circuit in Orlando and a stellar year. When you think about it, “Preston” racked up more points in Florida than most dogs get in an entire show year

Greetings again from sunny Orlando! As the first day of the Royal Canin AKC Championship wraps up and we head into day 2, I would like to extend my most sincere congrats to all the winners. So many folks from all over the world have come to get that very special win. Let us not forget that a big win for one may be significantly different than a big win for someone else. I get so happy, teared up in fact, when I see someone get so excited over a win that they tear up, jump for joy, and demonstrate pure elation!

Finally, our deepest condolences to Frank Baylis on the loss of his mother this past week. She was 91 years young and her influence on Frank is very apparent. Ask him to tell you a story about her next time you see him. He has a million of them.

Please keep Ron and Debbie Scott in your prayers, too. Ron had a setback in his recovery from a subdural hematoma and is back in the hospital. We hope he is back on his feet soon!
