World Dog Show Brazil 2022

From December 8th to 11th, dog fanciers from all over the world will meet at Expo Center Norte, in Sao Paulo, for the 2022 World Dog Show, considered the largest and most important canine exhibition in the world. It will be an international competition, sponsored by the Federation Cynologique Internationale – FCI and held annually for over 50 years. The Brazilian edition will be promoted by the Confederacao Brasileira de Cinofilia – CBKC, that regulates the breeding of purebred dogs in Brazil, and will be the first World Dog Show in the Americas in almost two decades.

This will be the third edition in Brazil as we had the honor of hosting the 1972 and 2004 World Dog Show, therefore our expectations for 2022 are the best. “Receiving an event of this size on national soil shows the trust of FCI member countries and will place Brazil at the center of the dog fanciers world. We are very proud of this achievement”, comments CBKC’s president Fabio Amorim. “We are waiting for more than 5,000 dogs from 50 different countries to show the best of pure breed dogs from Brazil and all over the world, in addition to the importance of the preservation of more than 300 breeds recognized by the FCI”.

Among many surprises for this edition is the inclusion of an exclusive show for Brazilian breeds. “This is a way to value the work of Brazilian breeders in our own breeds. We need to honor what is ours and take advantage of this international showcase to show them in great style”, says F?bio Amorim. “In addition to that, FCI will have an exclusive championship title for the World Cup in Brazil. In other words, no one in the dog world can miss this! “, points out the president of CBKC.

The choice of Sao Paulo as the venue for the event was not a random decision. The city is considered the capital of business tourism in Latin America. Also, Sao Paulo has the largest dog population in the country – with approximately 25% of the 54.2 million dogs in Brazil. Sao Paulo also leads CBKC’s ranking in pedigree registration and new kennels. We will receive visitors from all over the world and Sao Paulo counts on the advantage of a comprehensive structure of air and land transportation as well as a huge hotel network.

Located in the North Zone of Sao Paulo, Expo Center Norte was chosen to be the home of our World Show and is one of the most modern congress & exhibition centers in the country. It has a high standard infrastructure to receive the visitors with comfort and practicality.

In addition to the conformation and beauty exhibitions, the World Dog Show Brazil 2022 will feature canine sports, trials, training, grooming, pet supplies, demonstrations, dressage, dancing dogs, among many other activities.
