Understanding Protein-Losing Enteropathy in Dogs: A Genetic Exploration

Speakers: Dr. Sara Jablonski

Date/Time: Tuesday, November 17, 2026 at 7:00 pm ET

Canine protein-losing enteropathy (PLE) is a life-threatening syndrome characterized by loss of protein due to disease of the small intestine, but the mechanisms that lead to protein loss are not well understood. This webinar will explore the use of whole exome sequencing to investigate potential genetic causes of PLE in dogs and how discoveries in human PLE are informing this approach. Attendees will learn how identifying genetic variants and disease mechanisms could support future development of genetic screening and new therapeutic approaches for affected dogs.
