The 2022 Westminster Kennel Club’s Best Junior Handler – Erin Bernecker

Huge Congratulations to the 2022 Westminster Kennel Club Best Junior Handler, Erin Bernecker showing her Lowchen, CH Skyline’s Take ‘Em To The Station.  In an entry of 86 kids that qualified to compete, Erin topped the class.  The watchful eyes presiding over the Junior Showmanship competition were all Professional Handlers – Ms. Lisa Gallizo (Pre-lims), Ms. Whitney Meeks (Pre-lims) and Mrs. Karen Mammano, who had the honor of deciding between 8 fantastic and talented finalists.

Erin’s original breed is Vizslas however she competed in Juniors with her bred-by puppy dog from her first litter of Lowchens.  Erin also is an apprentice for professional handlers, Ryan and Rachel Tepera, which is so critical to the Juniors learning every aspect of our Sport.  Erin will be attending college this Fall at North Carolina State University.  We wish her much success in her future in and out of the show ring.

To all the Juniors, you are the future of the Sport…work hard, find great mentors, learn as much as you can, stay humble, be good sports and continue to show dogs!
