Tatum Bartlett Wins Best Junior Handler At The AKC National Championship Junior Showmanship Competition
The American Kennel Club (AKC®) is pleased to announce that Tatum Bartlett with her Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen GCHS CH M & M Stellar Spotify was awarded the coveted title of Best Junior Handler along with a $5,000 scholarship. The Junior Showmanship competition, for handlers between 9 to 18 years of age, was held for the 25th year at the AKC® National Championship Presented by Royal Canin on Saturday, December 13th, 2025. Preliminaries were judged by Amanda Swanson and Angela Lloyd. The Finals were judged by Ms. Patricia Anne Keenan.
Junior handlers must have a grade point average of at least 3.0 or equivalent for the September 2024 – June 2025 school year in order to compete. Scholarships from the American Kennel Club were awarded as follows: First – $5,000; Second – $4,000; Third – $3,000; Fourth – $2,000. Each of the other eight finalists received a $500 scholarship.
