Sonnito Wins Progressive
For over 20 years Progressive Dog Club has been a key lead-in event of Westminster week. Although it’s limited to Toy breeds, it is the week’s first showdown for top-ranked contenders and the results often set the pace for weekend specialty shakeups and shockers.
This year’s show drew a total of 412 entries in 23 breeds. Yorkies topped the list with 68 entries, followed by 42 Cavaliers, and 32 entries in both Paps and Pugs.
Best In Show judge Jan Paulk slotted the nation’s top toys into all four of her final placements. When the hammer came down it was …
The Smooth-Coat Chihuahua GCH Sonnus Filho (Sanchez) heading the lineup. Sonnito is 2015’s Number 4 Toy and Number 1 Smooth by a large margin.
