GCH Kiarry’s Pandora’s Box – December 7, 2009 – May 2, 2024
The Canine Chronicle is saddened to report the passing of the great American Foxhound, GCH Kiarry’s Pandora’s Box – better known as “Jewel.”
Owned by Ellen Charles & Lisa Miller and bred by Harry & Lisa Miller & Connie Petrick, Jewel was handled by Lisa during her illustrious career. In her very first year as a special, Jewel broke her Grandsire’s, CH Kiarry’s Reflections Of The Sun, record to become the top winning American Foxhound in AKC history. She finished the year as the #1 Hound and #8 Dog All Breeds.
2013 was an even more memorable year for Jewel and Lisa finishing the year as the #1 Hound and #6 Dog All Breeds. Jewel and Lisa shared so many incredible moments together but 2013 was not to be topped. That year, Jewel was the Hound Group winner at Westminster Kennel Club and the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship as well as the Best In Show Winner at The National Dog Show. She finished her 2-year career with 68 All-Breed Best In Shows, 194 Hound Group Firsts and Multiple National Specialty wins.
In Lisa’s own words, “Jewel is amazing. She has such a great personality. She loves everyone.” Our thoughts and prayers are with the Miller family at this very difficult time. Not only was Jewel an unforgettable show dog but a cherished member of the family.
