Allison Younger Named Director Of Communications For Westminster Kennel Club

The Westminster Kennel Club is proud to announce the appointment of seasoned marketing and communications executive Allison Younger as Director of Communications. In this leadership role, Younger will be responsible for driving the organization’s visibility and reputation by developing and executing targeted omnichannel communications and marketing strategies.

Younger is an accomplished communications and marketing professional with over 25 years of dedicated service to mission-driven organizations. Her passion for the human- animal bond has encompassed 15 years of impactful contributions within the animal/pet space, most recently as Senior National Director of Communications & Digital Platforms at Pet Partners.

“The Westminster Kennel Club is thrilled to welcome Allison, her proven leadership, expertise, passion for animals, and creative flair, to the greatest dog show in the world,” said Westminster Kennel Club President Dr. Donald Sturz. “When I think about the future of Westminster, a natural leader like Allison will elevate our organizational mission, drive brand awareness, and foster meaningful engagement and education well beyond the show.”

“Since my tenure at New York City’s Animal Medical Center, one of the largest nonprofit specialty animal hospitals in the world, it’s been my passion to enhance storytelling aligning with the missions of impactful, animal-related non-profit organizations,” added Younger. “I could not be more excited to join this signature New York City institution and world-class event, as we work to further the mission of the Westminster Kennel Club.”

The 148th Annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show presented by Purina Pro Plan will return to the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City on May 11, 13, & 14, 2024. The epic 3-day, 3-night event will feature nearly 2,500 purpose-bred dogs from across the world competing in top performance activities and culminating in the coveted Best in Show award.
