AKC Breeder Webinars Headed To A Screen Near You
The American Kennel Club (AKC®), a not-for-profit organization, the world’s largest purebred dog registry and leading advocate for dogs, is pleased to present the AKC Educated Breeder Webinar Series.
Each webinar will focus on topics that provide educational enrichment for all breeders.
The first in the series is called Pyo: The fear inducing three letter word and will take place on January 9th, 2024 at 7pm ET. It will feature guest speaker Dr. Marty Greer and will teach how to manage pyometra surgically and medically, as well as help further understanding of this serious infection of the uterus that strikes fear into the heart of every knowledgeable breeder and is often undetected. Breeders will also learn how to better equip themselves for managing pyometra.
The next webinar will be Crash Course in Canine Eye Testing on February 13th, 2024 with Dr. Adam King, board certified veterinary ophthalmologist, and will explain the ins and outs of eye testing in breeding programs.
Lastly, there will be Breeder Spotlight on March 12th with Doug Johnson of Clussexx Kennel. He will discuss the establishment of his renowned breeding program and share insights into uniting the world of rare breeds with excellence.
In addition, AKC offers 13 breeder courses educating fanciers and the public which range from free up to $50.00.
