EDITOR’S NOTE: Dr. Quentin LaHam was a noted teacher and lecturer in the field of canine structure, movement and function. He and his wife, Betsy, were very popular judges of multiple groups in the ‘80s and ‘90s. He wrote numerous articles for The Canine Chronicle regarding the state of the industry. The West Michigan Apple Blossom Cluster consisting of the Pontiac Kennel Club, Holland Michigan Kennel Club, Grand Rapids Kennel Club, Kalamazoo Kennel Club and Greater Muskegon Kennel Club to originally be held on May 22nd to May 25th in Kalamazoo, Michigan have rescheduled to August 27th to August 31st.

EDITOR’S NOTE: While perusing some past issues over the weekend, we came across this article written by the late, great Herman Felton. For those of you that didn’t know Herman, he and his wife Judy were outstanding breeders/owners and respected judges. Herman was a thoughtful man who had a lot of ideas about the future of the sport of purebred dogs. He was happy to share his thoughts with those in the fancy.
