Regrettably, the American Boxer Club has been forced to cancel their 2021 National Specialty. It was rescheduled from May to September due to venue challenges. ABC had no choice but to cancel this year’s show as a result of the hotel not being able to fulfill their contract. The volunteers of ABC work tirelessly to hold a premier national specialty and this comes as a huge disappointment to all involved. 2022 is right around the corner my friends, and I am sure that it will be a fantastic National Specialty.

The Canine Chronicle received the sad news that Mr. Donavon Thompson of Sacramento, California has passed away. Mr. Thompson’s original breed was Briards and he was approved to judge all Herding, Working and Hounds.

I am in the middle of judging a breed of toy dogs, when a lovely exhibitor very timidly says, “This is my first day showing a dog. I am not sure what I am supposed to do.” I assure her that she has come to the perfect ring. “You have nothing to worry about here,” I say in a gentle voice.
