New York, N.Y.- The AKC Museum of the Dog Board of Directors is pleased to announce that it has hired Deborah Kasindorf as the Museum’s new Executive Director and CEO.
As regular readers may well know, last year, after Marc received an exciting job offer, we moved away from the seaside to be closer to London.
On occasion it is surely an appropriate and salutary exercise for us, as connoisseurs and self-appointed guardians of the pedigreed dog, to reflect upon the prevailing condition of our animals from a long-term and multidimensional perspective.
If the pandemic taught us anything, it is that having more than one source of income is desirable—if not vital, for survival. Will Alexander, of Milton, Ontario understands this well. He’s a successful businessman with several dog-related endeavors, as well as a handler who has reached one of the pinnacles of the sport—Best In Show at Westminster. “My life revolves around dogs,” he says. “So everything I’ve done—seminars, classes, transport services, writing, producing grooming products, and handling—involves them as well.”

The American Kennel Club is opposed to the ongoing crisis in the Ukraine. In solidarity with the Ukrainian people, effective immediately, judges from the Russian Federation will not be approved to judge at AKC sanctioned events.

All donations made to the Kennel Club Charitable Trust between now and midnight on March 13th will be directed toward the Ukranian appeal and thereafter a donation option for the Ukraine will remain on the website.
