In celebration of its anniversary, the AKC Museum of the Dog is pleased to announce the opening of a new exhibit, “The AKC Museum of the Dog at 40: And the Collectors Who Made It.” This exhibition will bring into focus several of the collectors whose donations had a profound impact on shaping the museum’s permanent collection and where it stands today.

From the time my plane landed in Leon on August 4th at the Guanajuato, Mexico Airport until I took off on August 8th, along with fellow judge John Ramirez, we enjoyed the sights, sounds, taste, people, and the dogs we encountered in this warm and inviting part of Mexico.

For me, there are many dog show icons that I wish I could have had that “talk dogs” conversation with before they passed. Tom’s comments were a great reminder for me to make sure I take the opportunity to chat with those that I respect whenever possible.
