In humans and canines, body structure can be related to overall health. If a human has legs that are bowed out or bowed inward or if the spine is curved, that person is likely to suffer from pain and other health problems.

Piper is my Service Dog. Piper does not look like the typical service dog. Piper’s undeniable charm, stature, and jolly demeanor elicits amused skepticism and, occasionally, unkind comments. Over time I’ve learned that all responses are opportunities for me to provide accurate information and to advocate for the lawful and appropriate use of Service Dogs.
Most folks who participate in any performance or field activity spend a lot of time “proofing” their dogs against the various distractions usually encountered in most dog sports. The result is that their dogs are pretty comfortable with the usual stuff–lots of other people and dogs around–by the time they get to an event. But, there are things that can happen for which it is impossible to train.
The Papillon Club of America National Specialty was held last week, May 24th through June 1st, in Wilmington, Ohio at Eukanuba Hall at The Roberts Center.
