It has been my sincere pleasure to reach out to Mr. Wendell Sammet of Dalmatia Dalmatians. For those in need of introduction, Mr. Wendell Sammet began his dog career immediately after the Second World War in 1946 with a Dalmatian who in 1949, won the first New England Ten Mile Road Trial.

The very definition of mentor is a person who advises or person who aids another in achieving a goal. It is the process of passing on one’s knowledge to someone you deem worthy. There have been cultural changes and the manner of preparation has undergone alteration. A compromising of that which is substantive is frequently evident. Preparedness clearly differs a great deal and hence the resulting level of competence. Learning curves do, of course, vary considerably and the ability to effectively and intelligently apply acquired knowledge obviously differs among individuals.
