Remembering Nick Carroll

We received the very sad news that Nick Carroll of Colfax, Iowa passed away on November 3. Nick was 15 years old. He was a Junior Handler as well as a Great Dane exhibitor. Nick was a kind generous young man with a heart of gold! His sweet smile will be greatly missed.

Nick was a lover of all animals but especially his Great Danes and his parrot, Zazzy. Nick’s best friend was his Great Dane, Bosley. They were working on his AKC Championship and had recently won Best Junior at the Great Dane Specialty in Des Moines. Nick was a natural with all animals; he even trained his chickens to do tricks! Nick’s parrot, Zazzy, loved him deeply and would do anything for him.

A celebration of life will be held for Nick at the Council Bluffs Kennel Club on November 26, 2022. His family and friends also ask all exhibitors to wear BLUE (Nick’s favorite color) on that day in remembrance of Nick. We hope the fancy will support the effort to remember this very special young man.

The Canine Chronicle extends our deepest condolences to Nick’s parents, Denise and Kevin, his siblings, family, friends and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. We have lost a bright light.
