Remembering Harriet E. Kamps

We received the sad news that Harriet E. Kamps of Sparks, Maryland passed away on April 22, 2022 at 89 years of age.

Harriet was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.  Not only did she and her husband, Jack, build a successful kennel business, she also became a prominent breeder of over 200 American Cocker Spaniel champions. She traveled the country and world showing the cockers with her best friends by her side.  Dogs with the Kamps prefix made permanent homes throughout the world.  She was inducted into the American Spaniel Club Hall of Fame in 2010 for her contribution to the breed.

The Canine Chronicle extends sincere condolences to Harriet’s family, friends and the dog show community following her passing.
