Sadly, our sport lost two icons this past week. Elaine Mathis recently passed away. Elaine judged the Sporting, Hound, Terrier, Toy and Non-Sporting groups as well as Best In Show. She and her husband, LaMar, bred Cocker Spaniels under the LaMar prefix. Elaine was a member of the American Spaniel Club Hall of Fame.

I was surprised that Michael Shepherd was already back running left-handed circles after his recent heart attack.
