Percy was one of those handlers, as in the case of the Forsyths and numerous other leading handlers of that period, who was approved to judge Specialty Shows due to being a licensed handler. He did all-breeds under this ruling at various Specialties between 1937 and 1950, so he knew that he would enjoy a judging career prior to retiring from his importing and handling business, which had been so enormously successful, even before the time came to make a definite decision involving this change of activity.

A gossip is one who makes up in suspicion what he or she lacks in knowledge: who is a fact-mangler and misinterpreter; who likes to shake things up for the sake of shaking things up, not for constructive purposes; who puts two and two together and makes five; and who acts, almost always, with spiteful intent.

Perry and Little Perry will happen back-to-back in June, heralding the renewal of the dog world and dog sports. Nine days of dog shows begin on June 11 and run through June 21. Monday the 15thand Tuesday the 16th will be open dates, though no one will have to move their motorhome. The Georgia National Fairgrounds is being very accommodating to the dog show world, and to the Atlanta, Valdosta, Macon and Southeast Alabama Kennel Clubs in particular.
