Are We Losing Heart In The Sport We Know So Well And Love?
The UK is fortunate to have Championship shows throughout the entire year. Mainly held on weekends, the UK has on average thirty-five general championship shows during the year. Entries for the show are gaining no more then 10,000 dogs these days. Over a decade ago, general championship societies were gaining entries of well over 12,000 dogs.

Jilly’s Jolly Jaunt
What started as an idea in Gavin Robertson’s head a few weeks after winning BIS at Crufts snowballed into something that will be remembered by so many within the world of pedigree dogs and dog shows for years to come. What started out as a small idea ended as a great fundraiser with Great Ormond St. Children’s Hospital, DOGLOST and the KC Charitable Trust as the main beneficiaries.
Pets and the Law – Times They Are A’Changing!
From a legal standpoint, pets are property. Compensation is based on an animal’s monetary value. Even exceptional show or working dogs are seldom valued at more than $30.000. Infrequent cases that have scored non-economic damages were usually overturned on appeal.
