For over a decade we’ve heard rumors about the imminent demise of Westminster’s home base. Naturally, it’s hard to imagine since the club’s relationship with Madison Square Garden is now into its third century.

The American Kennel Club® (AKC®) and Royal Canin are pleased to announce the judging panel for the 2016 National Championship to be held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida on Saturday, December 17 and Sunday, December 18, 2016.

The four-plus day show cluster has become the staple of today’s dog show scene in the United States. A quick glance at our events calendar at www.caninechronicle.com shows how clusters of shows held in one location has become a normal, weekly occurrence in most regions. Heck, we even have a button titled “Cluster View” on our events calendar that groups the shows by cluster each weekend.

Attending Westminster can seem like going into a combat zone. The Canine Chronicle has a few tips to help you adjust that attitude.

Luckily there are more and more animal protection campaigns trying to raise awareness about puppy farming and its effects, presenting it as something that must be fought against. Educating ordinary people about the existence of puppy mills and the damage they cause is really important. But is this information sufficiently complex and detailed enough to present the whole picture?
