AKC Museum of The Dog: Xoloitzcuintle Opening Reception
Xoloitzcuintle Opening Reception
Thursday, October 15th 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
An ancient breed. A remarkable history. A new Museum exhibition.
Join us at the AKC Museum of the Dog as we celebrate the opening of Xoloitzcuintle, our newest exhibition dedicated to one of the world’s most distinctive and storied dog breeds.
Featuring over 40 works from the private Hoover/Moore Xoloitzcuintli Collection, the exhibition explores the Xolo through centuries of history, mythology, art and culture. From its deep roots in ancient Mexico to the breed we know today, discover the enduring relationship between the Xoloitzcuintli and the people who have celebrated it for generations.
Be among the first to experience the exhibition at our Opening Reception on Thursday, October 15th. View the artwork, enjoy a drink from the bar, and mingle with fellow dog, history and art lovers as we welcome Xoloitzcuintle to the Museum.
RSVP is free with a suggested donation. Your support helps the Museum continue bringing exhibitions like this to life. We hope to see you there celebrating a breed with thousands of years of stories to tell.
