American Kennel Club Hires Tara Martin-Rowell As Executive Field Representative
The American Kennel Club (AKC®) is pleased to announce that Tara Martin-Rowell has been hired as an Executive Field Representative. She will start June 3rd, 2024.
“Tara brings a broad background as a successful Maltese AKC Breeder of Merit, expertise as an All-Breed Professional Handler with many Best In Show titles and top winning dogs as well as a presenter of Judges Educational Seminars, Junior Handling Seminars, and grooming seminars all over the world. All of which will be valuable assets as an Executive Field Representative” said Sandy D’Andrea, Field Director, Conformation. “The American Kennel Club is proud to welcome her to the staff.”
Martin-Rowell has over 45 years of experience working with dogs. In addition to her impressive resume in dog handling and education, she has been a member of the American Maltese Association for 35 years, holding numerous positions including Judges Selection committee, Hospitality and Recording Secretary. Additionally, she was an accomplished junior handler. She also served as a Producer for Animal Planet and Fox Sports, producing dog shows as well as the documentary Crowned, about the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.
She will be based in Charlotte, N.C.
