The AKC recently announced an increase of $1.50 in the event service fee for conformation events. The fee will go from the current level of $3.00 to $4.50. It’s been hard to miss the conversations that have followed:

Is this increase appropriate?

Can clubs and exhibitors afford the increase? Should they have to?

Why has it happened?

Are the salaries being paid to AKC’s executives appropriate?

What about that swanky New York City office?
