The American Kennel Club Announces The Top Juniors By Sport
The American Kennel Club (AKC®), a not-for-profit organization that is the world’s largest registry of purebred and mixed-breed dogs, and a leading voice for canine welfare and responsible ownership, is pleased to announce the top Juniors in AKC Sports for 2025.
The American Kennel Club recognizes and appreciates the participation of Junior handlers across all AKC sports. Top Juniors are selected based on a point system that awards participation, successful handling of dogs to qualifying scores, earned legs, and event titles.
Agility – Elizabeth Kolath is from Amarillo, Texas. Elizabeth competes with English Cocker Spaniels. She also competes in Rally and Scent Work.
Coursing – Kirbie Allen is from Tupelo, Mississippi. Kirbie competes in Coursing, Fast Cat, and Junior Showmanship with Borzoi and Greyhounds.
Earthdog – Samantha Michel is from Rapidan, Virginia. Samantha competes with her Border Terrier in Earthdog and Junior Showmanship.
Field Trials and Hunt Tests – Grant Gooding is from Baldwin, Wisconsin. Grant breeds German Shorthaired Pointers that he competes with in Hunt Tests, Field Trials, Rally, Obedience, Fast Cat and Junior Showmanship.
Herding – Rori Hertsberg is from Frankfort, Illinois. Rori competes in Herding and Junior Showmanship with a Pembroke Welsh Corgi.
Junior Showmanship – Taylor Stone is from Rougemont, North Carolina. Taylor competes primarily with a Belgian Tervuren and an English Toy Spaniel. Taylor also competes in Rally and Fast Cat.
Obedience – Sawyer Johnson is from Lubbock, Texas. Sawyer competes in Obedience with an Australian Shepherd. Sawyer also competes in Rally and Junior Showmanship.
Rally – Hannah Rotter is from Springtown, Texas. Hannah competes in Rally and Junior Showmanship with her Pembroke Welsh Corgi.
Scent Work – Evelyn Cunningham is from Fruitport, Michigan. Evelyn competes in Scentwork and Junior Showmanship with her Bulldog and Border Collie.
Tracking – Azielle Tirrell is from Fairbanks, Alaska. Azielle competes with her German Shorthaired Pointer.
Title Recognition Program – Jadyn Bronk from Stevens Point, Wisconsin competes with her Jagdterrier and Belgian Malinois.
