The AKC Awards Junior Versatility Scholarship Awards
The American Kennel Club (AKC®), a not-for-profit organization, the world’s largest purebred dog registry and leading advocate for dogs, is pleased to award the recipients of the Junior Versatility Scholarships to the top 10 Juniors who competed in a minimum of three different, competitive AKC Events between the eligible dates (July 1, 2021 – June 30, 2022). The AKC Junior recognition programs, which give Juniors competing in any AKC event credit or points for participation, earning qualifying scores, placements and titles.
Mari-Beth O’Neill, VP of Sport Services stated, “AKC Encourages Juniors to try different events to expand their involvement and knowledge of all that is available to them.”
The scholarship recipients are as follows:
The First Place scholarship was awarded to David Frasca of Weldon Spring, Missouri, who competed with his Border Collies, French Bulldog and Standard Schnauzer in Agility, Rally and Obedience.
This scholarship was donated by Carolyn and Gary Koch in memory of GHP Hill Country’s Let’s Get Ready to Rumble.
The Second Place scholarship was awarded to Brianna Bedrosian of Long Grove, Illinois, who competed with her Papillion, Dalmatian and Poodle in Agility, Junior Showmanship, Obedience and Rally.
This scholarship was donated by Elizabeth Fletcher in memory of her mother, Doris A. Wall.
The Third Place scholarship was awarded to Christopher Plank from Waterloo, Illinois, who competed with his German Shepherd in Agility, Rally and Fast Cat.
This scholarship was donated by Carolyn and Gary Koch in memory GHP Hill Country’s Let’s Get Ready to Rumble.
The Fourth Place scholarship was awarded to Sela Cooper from Collierville, Tennessee, who competed with her Vizsla in Agility, Fast Cat, Junior Showmanship, Obedience, Rally and Virtual Scentwork.
This scholarship was donated by Elizabeth Fletcher in memory of her mother Doris A. Wall.
The Fifth Place scholarship was awarded to Zoe Sievers from Jackson, Tennessee, who competed with her Whippet, Dalmatian and Miniature Poodle in Agility, Fast Cat, Junior Showmanship, Dock Diving, Obedience, Rally and Scentwork.

The Sixth Place scholarship was awarded to Marilyn Depsey from Wylie, Texas, who competed with her Chihuahua in Agility, Fast Cat, Junior Showmanship, Farm Dog and Temperament Test.
This scholarship was donated by the NC Triangle Judges Education Group.
The Seventh Place scholarship was awarded to Reagan Wallace from Saint Peters, Missouri, who competed with her Border Collie, All American Dog and English Cocker Spaniel in Agility, Obedience and Rally.
This scholarship was donated by the NC Triangle Judges Education Group.
The Eighth Place scholarship was awarded to Abigail Engler from New Palestine, Illinois, who competed with her Brittany in Fast Cat, Junior Showmanship, Obedience and Rally.
This scholarship was donated by the NC Triangle Judges Education Group.
The Ninth Place scholarship was awarded to Theodore Joshua Moore from St. George, Utah, who competed with his German Shorthaired Pointers in Agility, Fast Cat, Junior Showmanship, Hunt Tests and Rally.
This scholarship was donated by the AKC National Junior Organization.
The Tenth Place scholarship was awarded to Madison Thompson from Oak Harbor, Michigan, who competed with her Golden Retriever in Junior Showmanship, Obedience and Rally.
This scholarship was donated by the AKC National Junior Organization.
