Send Us Your #FormFollowsFunction Photos!
All dog breeds were bred to perform a specific purpose. We want to see our readers’ dogs doing the work they were bred to do to be shared on The Canine Chronicle!
Thank you Liz Krysko for sharing this Form Follows Function photo of your Pembroke Welsh Corgi, “Carter,” (CH WindDancer Inside Track RN PT CGC) doing what he was bred to do! Liz says, “Carter was the Corgi that introduced me to Herding; we spent many clinic weekends at a farm with a lovely instructor and incredible enthusiasts from all breeds. I marveled at the Border Collies who used their eyes as my Corgi had a very different style. It was incredible to see him fulfill what his breed was meant to do, especially since in his younger years he herded my twin humans around the yard!” According to the American Kennel Club, “The Pembroke Welsh Corgi is a strong, athletic, and lively little herder who is affectionate and companionable without being needy. They are one the world’s most popular herding breeds. Built long and low, Pembrokes are surprisingly quick and agile. As herders bred to move cattle, they are fearless and independent.”
