Send Us Your #FormFollowsFunction Photos!
All dog breeds were bred to perform a specific purpose. We want to see our readers’ dogs doing the work they were bred to do to be shared on The Canine Chronicle!
Thank you Courtney Bates for sharing this Form Follows Function photo of your Saluki, AKC/ASFA MBIF CH Sandstorm Golden Sunrise in Hawaii RN, FCH, SC, THDN, CGCA, CGCU, TKI, ATT, FDC, VHMA, FITB, SPOT-ON, VSA, XVN6, Total Dog x4, doing what he was bred to do! Courtney said, “Zahi also won this year’s AKC and ASFA Lure Coursing events at the Saluki Club Of America National Specialty this year. He has won a total of 5 Lure Coursing Best of Fields at 2.5 years old.” According to the American Kennel Club, “Among the world’s oldest breeds, the slim but rugged Saluki was the hunting hound of kings for thousands of years. Salukis are swift and agile sprinters who love a good chase. Having tremendous speed, the Saluki was used by the Arabs principally to track and bring down gazelle, the fastest of the antelopes.”
Was your dog bred to hunt? Bred to herd cattle? Was he bred to rescue or guard? Was he bred to hunt rats? Please share your best Form Follows Function photos with us! We want to see them! Email Gia at Gia.Garofalo@caninechronicle.com with your photos!
