#NextGeneration Spotlight – Julianna Santos

Thank you Jane Mclaughlin for sharing these wonderful photos of Julianna! Jane was kind enough to share Julianna’s story in the sport of purebred dogs. Jane says, “Nine year old Julianna Santos from Bridgewater, NJ does not come from a dog show family. Julianna is my neighbor. I’ve been a breeder/owner/handler of Rottweilers for 30+ years.  After having a litter of puppies in June of 2024, I noticed Julianna’s rare talent with dogs filled with kindness and compassion. The dogs’ responded to her likewise. Julianna soon formed a wonderful bond with my adult dogs and the pups who are now 14 months of age. She often helps to socialize, exercise and groom them. I reached out to friend and fellow veteran breeder, Karri Meyers, and asked if she would be so kind as to share her Grand Champion English Toy Spaniel with Julianna as she embraced her passion and quest to become an AKC Junior Handler. Karri was immediately onboard! With a little help from Karri and Jane, Julianna and her mother were soon navigating themselves at AKC all breed dog show events. Needless to say – the rest is history! Julianna and GCH Barbie Favorite Dog bonded immediately and are now a winning team!  This team is just a few months young but there are no limits to what they will accomplish together. Julianna’s goal is to be a top winning Junior Handler with Barbie’s help and someday an All-Breed handler so she can help both Ms. Karri with her Toys and Miss Jane with her Rottweilers.” Way to go Julianna!
