The Whidbey Island Kennel Club recently hosted its second Junior Showmanship Showcase, drawing 45 talented young handlers to compete in this celebrated event. With impressive scholarships on the line‚ $1,000 for Best Junior Handler and $500 for Reserve Best Junior Handler‚ the stakes were high. The event was judged by Dr. Andres J. Thoreson, who had the challenging task of selecting the winners. Gift bags filled with goodies were distributed to all participants who placed, and refreshments were provided for the juniors, their friends, and family members.
