Table Talk

Another Thanksgiving is in the books. I hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday spent with family and/or friends, both furry and otherwise. It is hard to believe that there are only a few short weeks of the show year left! These years are really flying by faster and faster.

This past holiday weekend there were many options for long, multiple day circuits to attend. One was a new addition, the shows in Chandler, Arizona. These shows were rescheduled from the circuit previously held in Scottsdale in March. The entry was 700-ish or so, but I expect that number to grow quickly as I have heard nothing but great things about the show grounds and the accommodations. There is no doubt the weather in the Chandler/Scottsdale area this time of year is quite lovely which is an added attraction for this circuit. Put in on your must-do list!

Heads up to all that are planning to enter Westminster. Entries close on December 2nd, as in this Friday!

I hear many folks had their reserved grooming checks for the AKC Championship returned. I am told there is plenty of grooming space, and I sincerely hope that is the case. Based on the small sampling of folks I know, most reserved grooming requests were returned. Here’s hoping everyone is accommodated and happy with their space in Orlando.

Best wishes to Sam Mammano who has been hospitalized with pneumonia. We also wish Norm Grenier well. Apparently he took a fall at the Massachusetts shows this past weekend. Please keep Ron and Debbie Scott in your prayers, too. Ron had a setback in his recovery from a subdural hematoma and is back in the hospital. We hope he is back on his feet soon!

Birthday wishes to Curtiss Smith, Colton O’Shea, Gary Doerge, Matthew Hoagland, Desi Murphy, Diane Ehricht, Robert George, Scott Yergin, Johnny Shoemaker and Oscar Quiros.

I hope to see a lot of you in Orlando! Be careful out there, my friends and let me know where your holiday travels will take you.

Until next time…
