All Revved Up

Yes, Dogs are our life, but we all have some sort of a side passion. A little something, we do to otherwise occupy our minds.  I have always been amazed by the number of Motor Heads in the dog world.  Cars and motorcycles ranging from the classics to just plain funky are hidden in some of dogdom’s secret garages.

1967 Chevrolet C10 Short Bed Fleetside

This truck is Gary Allisons’ Grandfather’s 1967 Chevrolet C10 Short Bed Fleetside.  283ci V8, 2bbl carb, 2 speed Powerglide, manual steering, manual brakes, manual everything but the transmission. Gary’s Grandfather, Leonard, and his wife Mary toured the US with it towing a ’67 Bell travel trailer. They purchased them both new in ’67. Gary shared that he remembers spending many summers as a kid riding in this truck with his Grandparents. Leonard left it to his son, (Gary’s Dad), who, in turn, left it to Gary.  It was restored in 2000, and Gary and his wife Susan still have it.
