“Losing a dog feels like losing a part of your soul; they leave paw prints not only on the ground but on your heart forever. Their absence may echo in the silence, but their love remains in every memory.”

Very few things in life are as difficult for us to accept as death. Death becomes even more painful when we must decide if the time has arrived that we need to seriously consider the necessity of ending the life of a cherished canine companion. There almost always comes a time when, for humane, medical or safety reasons, we have to consider euthanasia for our dog.

The decision to euthanize, or induce a painless death, is never easy and it is never made without careful consideration. The correct choice is clearly what is in the best interest of the dog and the people who care deeply for it.
