Remembering Mr. Jordan Chamberlain

We received the very sad news that Mr. Jordan Chamberlain of Lake Wales, Florida passed away. Jordan was a longtime fancier, handler, AKC judge, and successful breeder of Miniature Poodles under the JLC prefix. Jordan was loved among the fancy; he was kind, generous with his time and knowledge, and always a gentleman.

A native of Canada, Jordan spent a lifetime in the sport of purebred dogs. For some time, he was the kennel manager of Round Table Kennels. Jordan bred many successful Miniature Poodles but perhaps his most successful was “Tiki,” CH JLC Critique. “Tiki” was the winner of the Non-Sporting Group at Westminster Kennel Club in both 1979 and 1981. He can be found in the pedigrees of many present-day Miniature Poodles.

Jordan was also a successful AKC Judge; he judged the Toy Group, Best in Show, Poodles (of course) and a handful of other breeds. He had the great honor of judging at Poodle Club of America multiple times and adjudicated Best of Breed at PCA in 2019. Jordan was an active member of Poodle Club of America and served on the Poodle Club of America Foundation, a charitable corporation dedicated to the health and future of Poodles.

Jordan’s passion for the sport was evident to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He mentored many new fanciers in the sport, always kind, pleasant and helpful. Jordan’s bright smile, sense of humor and positive attitude will be missed by all.

The Canine Chronicle extends our deepest condolences to Jordan’s family, friends and the entire dog fancy. Jordan will be sorely missed.
