Over 3,0000 Champion Dogs From All Over The World To Compete At The Historic 150th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show January 31 & February 2-3 In New York City

Over 3,000 champion dogs representing all 50 states, plus the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, and 17 additional countries, will compete in the historic 150th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show presented by Purina Pro Plan on January 31 & February 2-3 in New York City. America’s most iconic dog show returns to Manhattan for its milestone anniversary event with Group judging and Best in Show at Madison Square Garden on the evenings of February 2-3; and Agility and Breed competitions at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center on January 31 & February 2-3. The Best in Show winner will be crowned at The Garden, the original home of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, on February 3 and will be judged by two-time Westminster Best in Show-winning breeder-owner-handler David Fitzpatrick.

The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show will welcome spectators to see all 202 eligible American Kennel Club-recognized breeds represented at this year’s show. The largest Westminster entries by breed are Golden Retrievers (52), French Bulldogs (48), Labrador Retrievers (35), Rhodesian Ridgebacks (34), Australian Shepherds (33), Pomeranians (33), Cavalier King Charles Spaniels (32), Vizslas (32), and Pugs (31).  The newest eligible breed as of 2025, the Danish-Swedish Farmdog, known as the “little big dog,” will be represented with 12 entries as part of the 16.5 hours of FOX Sports television coverage culminating with Best in Show on Tuesday, February 3 on FS1.

Westminster’s “Canine Celebration” will kick off the excitement on Saturday, January 31 at the Javits Center, and feature a variety of showstopping activities including the 13th Annual Masters Agility Championship presented by Purina Pro Plan.  Last year’s hugely popular Flyball Tournament at Westminster, now presented by Pro Plan Veterinary Supplements FortiFlora, will also return, with 20 teams of top-performing dogs from across North America competing in the high-energy sport that combines speed, agility, and teamwork. In total, Westminster Week will feature over 3,000 top-ranked dogs across the various competitions.

The breed competitions and Junior Showmanship Preliminaries will occur during the day at the Javits Center on Monday and Tuesday, February 2 and 3. The Group judging, Junior Showmanship Finals, and Best in Show ceremony will be held in the evenings at Madison Square Garden. 13th Annual Masters Agility Championship presented by Purina Pro Plan

Nearly 500 Agility entries were submitted with both purpose-bred and All-American (mixed breed) dogs expected to compete. A total of 300 dogs will be selected in a random draw in the coming days. The Masters Agility Finals will air live on FOX from 4:30 – 7 p.m. ET, on Saturday, January 31. For the first time, Westminster has invited the US Junior European Open Agility team to the Masters Agility competition.
