Frank Jewett Funeral and Memorial
We have received news regarding the funeral arrangements for our departed friend, Frank Jewett. Frank was a Marine Corps veteran and plans are for burial at the National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. There will be a graveside service sometime next week limited to immediate family and close friends due to space limitations.
There will be a memorial service held on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the Orlando Cluster. This will be an opportunity for friends to celebrate Frank’s life and their friendship with him. Details will be forth coming in the next week.
Maureen and Caitlyn are doing well and have the support from their immediate family and close friends that are helping them get through this trying time in their lives. Michelle Holmes is moving their RV to the house to accommodate additional guests. Luckily, they have severa
l hook-ups so the guests will be cool, and have all amenities available to them. They made need more accommodations so if anyone has a RV that could be used through Wednesday, it might be appreciated.
Take The Lead, whom the Jewett’s have worked tirelessly for over the years, is helping short term. They are assisting with the Jewett’s house and dog show truck payments for 6 months, as well as health insurance for Maureen and Caitlyn. After that, they are on their own. Hospital bills should be covered by the Veterans Administration. However, there are still immediate financial needs and the support of the fancy would be appreciated.
Frank’s wish was that Caitlyn attend college and earn her degree. Friends are establishing a college fund for Caitlyn. The Florida Prepaid College Tuition plan is an economical way to ensure Caitlyn has an opportunity to attend college without taking on a huge debt in the process. Hopefully, we can raise money to fund this for Caitlyn. The account for this fund is being established now and we should have details regarding donation increments and submission requirements by Monday.
Please, please do what you can to support this family emotionally and financially.
